SarahG -- Hello from Perth Western Australia, how is everyone?

Woody -- Happy New Year, Poppy1!!!
Poppy1 -- Happy New Year everyone. I was hoping someone would remember me and say hello. Used to be Desmond.
jack -- That the issue I know there were Mercers in Scotland but I have not found a link a Mercer on my tree.
SarahG -- Hello! Been awhile! Trying to pick up where I left things a few months ago. How are you all?
Granny Begbie -- Hi Jack!
Woody -- Hi Jack, if you would like then start a new topic with names and dates, and we can have a look.
jack -- I just found out that I am 21% Scottish and I am looking into seeing if there is any Mercer here that help me.
jack -- Thank you allowing me to join
Woody -- Hi Sandra, maybe you are - it all depends when they emigrated to Canada, if it was before a census then you won't see them with the rest of the family. It's unlikely anyway, as the first census would be 1841 and by then John b. 1807 is likely to be away from home. Statutory registration didn't begin till 1855 so it's harder to get information. Only thing I can suggest is you research each of the other names and see where you get to. For Margaret, use an asterisk as a wildcard - Tor*nce - just in case it's written incorrectly or indexed incorrectly.
Sandra H -- Hi everyone, I am new to this page and I am hoping someone with more knowledge than I can guide me. I have been looking for family of John Wilson and Margaret Torrence from Lesmahagow. I have the names of the children from Baptism records but it ends there..I only know that my GG granndfather John, b. 1807 came to Canada as did his brother Andrew..am I looking too far back for any records?
TrudyP -- Hi All. It has been a while since I have visited. I have been tracking down ancestors in Australia. The past week though I have been looking at what I believe are descendents of those who immigrated to the US which means rechecking relationships in Scotland.
SarahG -- How are we all keeping?
Woody -- Not sure myself, Evelyn!
Granny Begbie -- I think you have 48 hour days Woody! //files.jcink.net/html/emoticons/huh.gif I don't know how you do it! //files.jcink.net/html/emoticons/unsure.gif
Woody -- I wish! I have been out every day as I, along with other volunteers, am doing Community lunches and also a Foodbank. Foodbank aid given to 26 people this month already, and lunches are about 250 per week.
Granny Begbie -- Hello people out there? Are we all still staying in?
Woody -- If you have any problem them please let us know, or you can search for posts by Tammy Lough. The area is Leonel Cushnie.

SarahG -- Hello from Perth Western Aust, things are starting to return to normal here, but we're all still largely stuck inside. how is everyone?
Woody -- That's a shame but probably just as well, SarahG. All Family History Groups and Hubs/Gros etc are all closed so no chance of any of us doing in person look-ups.
SarahG -- Sadly my trip got cancelled
